COMMUNITY IMPACT SERIES & AWARDS
This year, we will also continue to honor films as part of our Community Impact Film Series. This series features films that promote cultural literacy and deeper community engagement about our region’s concerns. We are considering films for our International Community Impact Film Series based on similar criteria for the global stage. These films are chosen to spark discussion and provoke a greater understanding of the issues raised in these films.
New! UNAPOLOGETIC SERIES & AWARDS
Based on the growing concern of injustices against Black people, indigenous people, women, and other marginalized groups, the Unapologetic Award has been birthed. This award is devoted to films that tackle social injustice issues to encourage positive change. The Unapologetic Award is a celebration of our shared humanity.
New! COVID-19 PANDEMIC REFLECTIONS
As its name suggests, entries must relate to the current pandemic. We live in an unprecedented time in which none of us have experienced the specific set of challenges that we now face. This category is for reflective works that share our angst, knowledge, and wisdom from various perspectives. Films of almost every genre have poured in from all over the world. They were created to inform, inspire, entertain, or share the experiences of their creators.
