Poetry in Motion: Charting the Journey to Multimedia Production

Saturday, November 20, 6-7:30 PM

What is the growing trend of poetry films all about? Panelists will share their experiences with developing and producing poetry films. There will be a focus on threading a theme from the written, spoken, and illustrated poetic texts. Methods and processes to produce poetic films: documentary, literary, spoken word, or multi-genre works will be highlighted. In addition, techniques for incorporating imagery, sounds, and music will also be presented. The panelists will provide an overview of getting required permissions and using the public domain for outside sources. If you are interested in how poetry films may expand the audience and life of your poem, you will not want to miss this panel.
